to Venetian Harmony Chorus!
Thank you for visiting our website. Our
award-winning Venetian HarmonyChorus invites you to join us. Come
and sing with us at one of our weekly rehearsals; or let us  entertain
you at one of our performances. Our music ranges from popular,
jazz, show tunes, patriotic to spirituals, all sung in traditional

2009 Venetian Harmony Chorus
First organized in 1983, the chorus
became a chartered member of
Sweet Adelines
International (SAI) the following year. Our current membership
totals 45 women from Bradenton, Sarasota, Osprey, Nokomis, Venice, North
Port, Englewood and Port Charlotte. The chorus performs frequently
throughout this extended community.
Community involvement is important to the chorus.
Because we love to perform, entertaining at civic events as well as at
charitable functions is our delight. We proudly produce an annual show
eagerly anticipated by both patrons and performers alike, and sing out for
holidays and special occasions.

We meet Monday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m. at
Naar Hall, Venice United Church of Christ on Shamrock
Blvd. in Venice, Florida. If you’d like to meet the chorus, and

Venetian Harmony Chorus is devoted to the education and
training of women of all ages to sing in the unique style of A cappella
four-part harmony, barbershop style. As part of this program, we
engage expert coaches certified by SAI to improve our vocal and performance
skills.
Each year the chorus presents a financial gift, awarded
to a high school senior in our area who is planning to pursue a musical
education. Additionally, we participate in other activities in our
extended area, which promote music and harmony in youth.
Our members’ love of singing A cappella, and our
commitment to the community, make Venetian Harmony Chorus something very
special. And while developing our musical talents, we are also
enjoying new friendships we have made. We welcome you to visit our
chorus and share in this experience!
